During Christmas preparation, Bambi noticed that her lead reindeer Ralph was acting strange. An examination revealed that Ralph’s vision was obstructed because of his large antlers. Changes in testosterone level triggers the antlers to shed each Fall, but Ralph was neutered at a young age and his antlers continued to grow. We injected Ralph with a hormone that will allow him to shed his antlers in the next few months, but he will not be ready to guide the sleigh. Fortunately, Bambi has an able replacement and we all know his name!
